Nash Sunday Smores

February 1, 2026
Hello Nash Families,
Hello everyone,
I hope you’ve all managed to stay warm and cozy during the chilly days we've had recently. Looks like we have a warm up coming, we might see temperatures reaching the thirties this week. :) Thank you for your patience as we dealt with the significant snowfall. It was a challenge with so much snow and limited places to put it! Although our students had a shorter week, they jumped right back into school and continued to work hard across all subjects. Congratulations to Mrs. Cusson's class, the winner of our ST Math Snowball fight! Our first graders had a fantastic time visiting Legoland in Boston, where they enjoyed the rides and displayed their inner Lego engineers. Don’t forget to check out the details below about our theme day on February 11th, and we’ll also be celebrating the Patriots making the Super Bowl with a Patriots Day on February 6th. Have a wonderful evening, and I look forward to seeing all our amazing NASh students tomorrow!

Still Collecting Soup for the Weymouth Food Pantry
Weymouth Food Pantry is asking for your help!
Here’s how it works:
· Community members donate cans of soup at your locations.
· We’ve also created an Amazon Wish List, and any items you order can be shipped directly to our warehouse to my attention. Many of the soup options on the list can also be used for our Backpack Program here in Weymouth, making your donation go even further. Here is that link https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/LN9LCDQR97S3?
· Participants can post photos of their donations and tag @WeymouthFoodPantry and @FranklinFoodPantry on social media.
· On February 12, we’ll announce the winner on Facebook, celebrating both communities for their generosity.

We are still looking for inflatables for our teacher races.
Please send in any you would be willing to let us borrow. Be sure to label them so we can return to proper owner. Thanks so much!
The Playground is open.
Please read this important note regarding the playground:
Consistency is so important for our students that we find it important to share with you our playground expectations that we provide to the students during the school day.
We hope this carries over to after school and beyond:
Everyone plays – Every game is open to whoever wants to play as long as those playing are being safe, respectful and responsible during the game. Including others are expected behaviors.
Play safe – Students must play so that they and others are not physically or emotionally hurt. Students must avoid rough play, unsafe play, and name-calling. Examples of unsafe play include jumping from the top of the play structure or sliding into someone still on or near the end of the slide
Be Respectful- Students will listen and follow directions. They will be kind and provide other students an opportunity to use the play structure. Keep hands and feet to themselves.
Have fun and enjoy!
