Weekly Message
Greetings THS students, families, and community members,
I’m thrilled to share that we’ve had another fantastic week at Tipton High School! Our fall sports teams are in full swing, and I have to say—they’re all “must-see.” Whether it’s football, volleyball, girls golf, soccer, or cross country, our athletes are giving it their all, and we couldn’t be prouder. Don’t miss out on the action—athletic schedules are available on the Eventlink app, and we’ve also launched new athletic Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) accounts. Be sure to follow these pages for highlights, weekly schedules, and much more!
This year, the hot topic has been our new cell phone policy, implemented in response to recent legislation that removes cell phones from classrooms. I’m pleased to report that this change has already had a positive impact. Teachers are seeing greater engagement and more meaningful discussions in their classes. Students have told me that the new rules help them stay focused and avoid the distractions of their devices. While any new policy comes with uncertainty, our students have risen to the challenge and are adapting remarkably well.
I’d also like to remind everyone to log into our school management system, PowerSchool. It’s important to keep emergency contacts and demographic information up to date. While you're there, you can also check on your student's grades and progress throughout the year. PowerSchool offers easy-to-click buttons that allow you to email teachers and staff directly with any questions or concerns. Staying connected through PowerSchool is a great way to ensure your student has the support they need.
Finally, don’t forget that picture day for grades 9-11 is coming up on August 28th. Please make sure your student’s outfit is picture-perfect—these photos will be in the yearbook, and we want everyone looking their best!
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm for Tipton High School. Let’s keep this momentum going!
As always, thank you for being a part of the Blue Devils community!

The Tipton Mayor’s Youth Leadership Program
Learning to Lead
Sponsored by the City of Tipton and supported by the Mayor, the goal of this program is to explore the dynamics of leading groups. Through experiential learning, students will gain insight on the relevance of what it means to be a leader on campus and the surrounding community of Tipton. In this two-semester experience, students will be placed into a group that includes students from two local schools. We will accept up to 15 Tipton High School students and 15 Tri Central High School students. While the program strongly encourages juniors and seniors, sophomores will be considered with strong support from school administrators or other relevant personnel.
Students will
- Discover their leadership skills, learn new skills, and lead each other.
- Explore proven leadership practices while working in a group to identify a social issue that is prevalent on their school campus and/or Muncie community.
- Attend a retreat, multiple group project sessions and workshops in which the theme of group leadership will be discussed.
- Work to complete a group service project over the course of an academic year.
- Make friends and have fun!
In the fall students will be asked to create a proposal for a problem you want to solve. In the spring student groups will come together to actually solve the problem and then report on their success.

Powerschool
THS uses Powerschool as our school management system. It is extremely important that parents/guardians create an account to monitor your student's progress throughout the year.
All parents must complete registration forms before the start of the school year to ensure all student information is current.
If you are a returning student, this is a relatively easy quick process that includes validating the information we have. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the main office.

PLEASE BE SURE TO UPDATE/COMPLETE ALL SECTIONS UNDER 'FORMS'.
Attention Juniors and Parents!
The junior class organizes and pays for prom. The concession stand profits go towards this event, as well as paying for the Class of 2026 caps and gowns.
Parents: If you are looking for a way to give back and help out, the After Prom committee is requesting help! Parents of the junior class help fundraise, plan, and execute the after prom party. Please contact Diane Butler for more information: dianesalleebutler@gmail.com
There is a junior class parent meeting on Thursday, August 29th at 7:30 pm. Please enter through Door A (Auditorium) go left, and take the stairs to the success center.
Both of these events are very well attended and make for great high school memories. If you have a student in the junior class, please consider helping out!

Alumni Spolight
One way we would like to do that is by recognizing the amazing Alumni that have graduated from THS. Below is a Google Form that any one can fill out to nominate a THS graduate for recognition. The information from the form will be used to create an alumni post on our social media accounts.
If you know a Blue Devil Alum that has gone on to do amazing things in their lives after graduation, please complete the form. Be sure to upload a high quality image for the slide.
