Washington Elementary School 🐾
From the desk of Dr. Tiffany Jacobson
October 16, 2026
We had another great week at Washington! Students are diving deeper into curricular topics, and we invite you to check out this week’s Live Feed posts for highlights of the wonderful learning happening across our school.
We were delighted to welcome members of the Westfield Fire Department, who led an engaging assembly for our first, second, and third graders focused on fire prevention and safety (full article in the News section below). We also held our first food collection to benefit the Saint Joseph’s Social Service Center. Thank you for helping us support our community! ❤️
There’s been some fun happening in the lunchroom, too! Our fifth graders have earned the privilege of choosing their lunchtime seats, and we’ve introduced music during both lunch periods. We’re hoping to expand our playlists by inviting each grade level to curate its own collection, exposing students to a variety of artists and genres. Some songs have already become lunchtime favorites, with the entire cafeteria singing along in unison, a truly sweet sight to witness, as our fabulous lunch volunteers can attest! 🎶 At the moment, Benson Boone’s Beautiful Things is the crowd favorite!
Wishing all of our Washington families a wonderful weekend! 💙
