NNCS Flyer Update
Volume 3 ~ September 5th, 2025
Superintendent's Message
Dear Flyer Community:
What a wonderful start to the school year! Our Senior Class kicked things off with their Sunrise Breakfast on the first day—a special tradition to begin what will surely be an exciting year for the Class of 2026. We look forward to celebrating all the milestones that will lead up to their graduation in June!
We are also pleased with how well our students have adjusted to the new cell phone regulations and are grateful for their respectful response to the Distraction-Free Schools initiative. While this is a change for everyone, staff members are already noticing positive results from the bell-to-bell restrictions. Students are spending more time engaging with one another, socializing with friends, and connecting with staff in the hallways. We are hopeful that even more positive outcomes will emerge as the year progresses!
Once we have media clearance for our UPK–8 students, we’ll be able to share more photos of our younger Flyers. In the meantime, please take a moment to ensure that your child’s building office has the most up-to-date contact information on file. Having accurate information allows us to stay connected with you about academics and ensures we can reach you quickly in the event of an emergency. Even if there are no changes, we ask that you review the form and return it to school.
We truly appreciate your partnership and look forward to a fantastic school year together!
Below you will find the Elementary, Middle School, High School, and Athletic News sections of the Flyer Update. Next week we plan to add a section to the Update which features highlights from our visual and performing arts programs.
Have a wonderful weekend!

🟡 Athletics Highlights 🟡
Some Good News!
Recently Ms.Durfee, one of our Physical Education teachers, applied for and was awarded a small grant from USA National Lacrosse Grants which she plans to use in her P.E. classes. The grant she received was for lacrosse specific equipment and is geared toward P.E. classes. The items which will be purchased include 20 Co-Gender Sticks, 24 Foam Balls, 1 Pair of Goals, 12 Cones, Digital USA Lacrosse Curriculum Drill Book, and 1 Carry Bag. All of this is valued at $1,050.00!
We'd like to thank Ms. Durfee for putting in the effort to apply for this grant. These funds will put more equipment in our students’ hands and provide their P.E. teachers with some new strategies for developing lacrosse skills.
