Dear Families:
We are pleased to announce that West Irondequoit has implemented a meal certification option available to us for the 2024-25 school year, meaning all students are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch each school day at no charge! This is the result of our participation in the state’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and National School Lunch and Breakfast programs. No action is required of you, our families, in regard to qualifying for this, however:
- To be considered for additional state or federal program benefits based on household income eligibility, please complete the attached CEP application below (there will NOT be a Free-and-Reduced application for this school year).
- Completing the CEP application also provides data to NYS to ensure the WICSD receives all of the state aid it is eligible to receive.
The application also will be available in our annual Back-to-School edition of our newsletter, The Quote, that will be mailed to your homes in late August. Please mail it to:

Important note: Individual milk prices and snack-line purchases are not covered by this free meal program. Milk will be 60 cents; snack items vary.
