Writing

Drawing and Writing

In the next few weeks students will be practicing the crucial skill of retelling and sequencing a series of events. They will write about the trips we take, places they like to go, and things they do with you! I encourage you to have children tell you about their day. Encourage them to say what happened First, what happened Next, and what happened at the End of the day.

Art with Ms. Luna 🎨

Students will begin collaboratively in group work. Students will be introduced to the medium tempera paint and tools used in painting including their hands, and brushes of different sizes. They will mix paint to understand how primary colors make secondary and how primary and secondary make tertiary colors. They will be introduced to the element of art value, using tints and shades to lighten and darken colors. Conjoiningly students will start to think about the element of art space by experimenting with size and distance (near and far) to visualize composition.

This month, students are exploring the joy of music and movement! Through singing, dancing, and rhythm games, they’re learning to express themselves, build coordination, and work together as a group. Upcoming Homework Packet & Reminder

We will begin sending home the homework packet the week of October 6th, 2025. Homework is an important tool for reinforcing what we’re learning in class, and we ask that you supervise your child’s homework to ensure they are completing it independently and to the best of their ability.

Please make sure to check and empty your child’s folder every night to stay on top of any announcements and assignments. Encourage your child to use a pencil when completing their homework, and remember, the goal is for practice and to build confidence, not perfection. Your involvement and support in this process are greatly appreciated! Thank you for helping your child stay organized and engaged in their learning journey.
