EMPLOYEE WELLNESS
LIFE WORKS -EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
As we continue to navigate our busy workdays, it is important to emphasize the importance of prioritizing both mental and physical health. Our well-being is fundamental not only to our personal lives but also to our overall productivity and the positive environment we strive to create together.
Taking care of your mental health can enhance your focus, creativity, and resilience, while maintaining your physical health helps reduce stress and boost energy levels. It's essential to recognize when you need a break or support and to reach out for help when necessary.
I'm proud to remind you that we offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through BASD, which provides confidential support for various personal and work-related issues. It also includes LIFT virtual fitness. Whether you're dealing with stress, seeking resources for mental health, looking for an way to reach your fitness goals or looking for ways to improve your work-life balance, the EAP is here for you. It's a valuable resource for you to take advantage of.
Please remember that your health is a priority, and seeking help is a sign of strength. Let's continue to support one another in fostering a positive and healthy workplace. Take care of yourselves and each other.

To access Calm Health, members will be directed from myuhc.com® to a Calm Health landing page in the web browser to register for a Calm Health account. The member information will automatically pass through from myuhc.com. Once registered, members can continue using the website or download the Calm Health app and sign in.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Before operating a fire extinguisher, you must take some safety precautions. First, assess the fire; if it is too big or uncontrollable don’t risk your safety by trying to put it out, evacuate the building and call 9-1-1 immediately. If the fire is small enough and can easily be put out and contained, continue to use the P.A.S.S. fire extinguisher technique. Make sure to hold the fire extinguisher with the nozzle pointing AWAY from you, and keep your back towards a clear exit so you can safely exit if the fire becomes too dangerous.
