Dear Monomoy Middle School Families,
This week we will be wrapping up our MAP testing. As most students have finished up already, we have begun to look at the preliminary results which show very promising school wide trends. When we look at assessments including MAP and MCAS, we focus on two indicators including achievement level and growth level. The growth of the preliminary trend results show students in all three grades making significant growth, with many exceeding their expected growth. Thank you to the amazing MRMS students for all of your effort and investment in this process as the use of this benchmark testing supports your teachers in making the most informed instructional decisions on your behalf.
In Partnership,
Abby Dudley
Principal

MCAS Testing Dates: Please see the Spring MCAS testing dates below. We ask that families support MRMS by ensuring that students are in school for each testing window. MCAS, like MAP, is an important performance indicator that helps us make informed decisions for students, and it is important to have all eligible students participate!
Clubs Ending: Just a reminder that our Winter Club session will be ending on January 26th. Thanks for all your participation!
OLD NEWS AND REMINDERS
Welcome Year of the Dragon! A reminder of the performance that will take place during Seminar over two days - January 22 and January 23 from 10:35-11:22 a.m. both days. If your student is participating and you would like to attend, you are very welcome to join us! Please RSVP here by January 15 to secure your spot.
Winter Coats: As the weather continues to get cooler, students will still have the option to get fresh air as a part of our lunch routine. If students are choosing to go outside, please help them remember to bring proper gear for the weather. Students MUST bring their outerwear to lunch as they are not able to return to their lockers once lunch has begun.
