Welcome back JRLP families!

When I look back on my years in education, even as a teacher, social emotional learning was always a big part of my classroom. No surprise that I moved into a counseling, then Social Emotional Learning Specialist role. We are lucky that SEL is part of who we are in Jeffco, demonstrating Jeffco's committment to the success of the whole student. Jeffco schools utlilize nationally normed and recognized social emotional learning programs, Kindergarten through 11th grade.

In K - 8, students engage in Second Step Lessons; for 9 - 11, students utilize School Connect. To explore more of what these programs have to offer, please check out the Social Emotional Learning Curriculum - Jeffco Public Schools https://www.jeffcopublicschools.org/learning/social-emotional-learning/social-emotional-learning-curriculum website for more information. Please reach out with any questions!

Warmly,

Brenda Rolling,

SEL Specialist K - 8

Hello JRLP Families,

We’re excited to kick off our Palooza Fundraiser with a classic and delicious way to raise money—selling World's Finest Chocolate premium candy!

The Palooza is an end of the year event, where we have a field day, a jumping castle, inflatable obstacle course, lunch, games and prizes.

How It Works:

  • Each participant will pick up one box of chocolates during school registration

    • August 21st
  • Each box contains 16 boxes of candy
  • Sell the candy to friends, family, neighbors, or bring to community events.

    • Sell each box for $5.00
  • Families will have 3 weeks to sell the candy.
  • Return the $80 per box to the school by September 14th.

  • If you'd like to sell more than one box, let us know—more can be ordered!

Important Notes:

  • This fundraiser supports our school’s Palooza activities—thank you for helping us make it a success!

  • Unsold candy cannot be returned, so please only request what you are confident you can sell.
