A Message from Dr. Sanchez A Message from Dr. Sanchez

Dear PMSA community,

Last week was a meaningful and productive time for our PMSA community, highlighted by the strong turnout and engagement during our Parent Teacher Conferences. We are truly grateful to all of our families who took the time to connect with teachers, ask thoughtful questions, and partner with us in support of student growth and achievement. These conversations are critical in ensuring that every student is supported both academically and socially, and your involvement continues to make a significant difference in their success.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all of the families who took the time to complete the 5Essentials Survey. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, as it allows us to better understand the perspectives, experiences, and needs of our school community. This information plays a critical role in guiding our decision-making and continuous improvement efforts, ultimately helping us grow stronger as a school and better serve all of our students.

In addition, we have now entered the fourth quarter of the school year, which also marks the beginning of our testing season. We ask for your continued partnership in supporting our students during this important time. Please encourage healthy routines, provide reassurance, and be sure to review all testing-related communications that will be shared in the coming weeks.

In addition to strengthening our home-school connection, we also took an important step forward in prioritizing student well-being. In partnership with MARO, we successfully piloted a Mental Health Screener with our senior class. This initiative is part of our broader commitment to supporting the whole child and proactively identifying ways to provide resources, guidance, and care for our students as they navigate both academic and personal challenges. We look forward to reflecting on this pilot and exploring how we can continue to expand support for all students.

Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership, support, and commitment to PMSA.

Best,

Dr. Sanchez

Atentamente,
Dr. Sánchez

At PMSA, we center student recognition as a key part of our school culture. To celebrate the achievements and contributions of our students and staff, we have established a Students of the Month program.

Each month, one department is responsible for selecting one student per grade to receive the award based on academic merit, as outlined by each department. In addition, we recognize a Student Python of the Month and a Faculty Python of the Month. These awards are presented to students and staff who embody our school motto: “Driven by Excellence, Grounded in Kindness.” Award recipients are recognized at our monthly board meetings.

For the month of March, the Wellness department is proud to recognize the following students:

Freshman: Ryan Covington

Sophomore: Mason Walker

Junior: Elijah Fisher

Además, se reconoce al Student Python of the Month y al Faculty Python of the Month.
