Byam's Got Talent Hootenanny

On Saturday, our 19th annual talent show will be happening at 6:00 pm at the McCarthy Middle School Auditorium. Pre-order sales are closed but you can purchase tickets at the door. Pre-purchased tickets door opens at 5:15, and day of ticket sales and general seating opens at 5:30 pm Saturday. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5 per person. Student participants, Emcees and Volunteers are free. Come out and cheer on our talented students and staff! Good luck to all the Byam performers!

Report Cards

On Wednesday, report cards were made available in the X2 Family Portal for grades 1-4. If you are unable to access your report cards or would like a hard copy, please contact our clerk, Mrs. Murphy at murphys@chelmsford.k12.ma.us.. The link below provides an X2 Family Portal tutorial.

All School Incentive

Our amazing Byam students have continued to earn roars and are poised to hit our spring goal. We are anticipating reaching this goal in the next week so that we can unveil our all-school incentive.

Attendance Communication

Reminder attendance notices will be sent to families for students with 10 or more absences. This communication is not only in adherence to DESE expectations that schools monitor and work to improve student attendance, it is also helpful for future planning of non-medical absences to be planned during school vacation days, weekends, or summer so children can access as much important learning time as possible. Thank you for your cooperation and collaboration with helping improve Byam school attendance.

MCAS Reminders

Our 3rd and 4th graders will be taking the ELA MCAS next month. Below are the scheduled dates. Over the coming weeks, students will receive training on the testing platform from our technology integration specialist. As these dates approach, more detailed information will be shared with 3rd and 4th grade families.

Grade 4 Testing ELA: Mon. 4/10, Tues. 4/11

Grade 3 Testing: Wed. 4/12, Thurs. 4/13

AM Student Car drop-off supervision

Reminder to parents who drive students to school in the morning. You must wait for school doors to open for the start of school before driving away from both the main building and modular building. Student can not be unattended outside our buildings. Please share with other family members who may drop your child off in the morning as well. Thank you for your cooperation.

Save the Date BYAM ART NIGHT! April 27, 2023

Save the Date and stop by anytime during between 5:00-7:00pm to view our amazing artwork! Every child will have work displayed. Looking forward to seeing lots of Byam families together to celebrate our students' creativity!

Welcome to fundraising with WECO! Who's hungry?! BSA is partnering with WECO, and 10% of all purchases are going back to Byam! Items do sell out, so get your orders in! Food is delivered directly to your door, with very little prep!

IT IS WALK-A-THON TIME!

Mark your calendars for May 20, 2023!

Please find attached WALK A THON 2023 FLYER for the upcoming event and get started on raising money for your child's laps. Prizes will be given to those who raise the most! Register AND submit $20 Payment by April 14th to insure your child's t-shirt. Rain or Shine the walk-a-thon is the BSA's highest grossing fundraiser, going directly towards enrichment to the student's curriculum. Is your child not a walker? No big deal! We have plenty of other things to do at the event including a dance party!!

Byam BSA will use 100% of the proceeds for future enrichments, field trips, and events!

GET INVOLVED WITH THE BSA!

We are humbly asking parents to consider volunteering for one small task each year. If your child is attending an event, please keep an eye out for future sign-up forms. Many responsible students can also help with parent supervision! In addition to event volunteers, here are a few larger roles we are looking to fill. We will teach you the ropes and "ease" you in.
