It is with deep regret that we inform you about a recent loss to our school community involving a Martinsburg Initiative staff member who supported students at Mill Creek Intermediate and Bunker Hill Elementary. This loss is sure to raise many emotions, concerns, and questions for our entire school, especially our students.
A Crisis Team will be onsite tomorrow, made up of professionals trained to support students, parents, and school personnel during difficult times such as this. Additionally, our school counselors are available for any student who may need or want help or any type of assistance surrounding this loss. Students who worked directly with this individual have been notified, and we are providing them with additional support as needed.
We are saddened by this loss to our school community and will make every effort to help you and your child through this difficult time. Please reach out if we can support you or your students. We will work through this loss as a school family.
Sincerely -
