Students have continued learning about the kernels of PAX as classrooms continue to build routines and structures. Two of the kernels students have learned about include PAX Leader and PAX Quiet. Read below to learn more about each:

PAX Leader is a strategy that teaches students to be accountable for their actions and to take ownership of their learning. This tool encourages students to be proactive and to assist peers, fostering a sense of community and shared responsibility. By taking on leadership roles, students develop critical skills such as problem-solving, communication, and empathy.

PAX Quiet is a tool that helps create a calm and focused learning environment. It teaches students the importance of self regulation and impulse control by encouraging them to use a quiet voice and to listen attentively. This tools is especially effective during transitions between activities or when students need to concentrate on a task. Using a peace sign or a harmonica, teachers at GRE signal for students to reach PAX Quiet, a level zero voice where everyone is focused and making eye contact with the speaker.

Late Check in and Early Check out Procedures Late Check in and Early Check out Procedures

At Glacier Ridge, the safety and security of our students is our top priority. We have several procedures in place to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment. Please take a moment to review our check-in and check-out protocols below:

Late Drop-Off

If your child arrives after 9:10 AM:

  • A parent/guardian must accompany the student into the building.

  • Report to the main office (Door 1).

  • Use the computer in the vestibule to sign your child in.

Early Pick-Up

If you need to pick up your child before dismissal:

  1. Report early pick-up intention in Infinite Campus.

  2. Report to the main office (Door 1).

  3. Ring the bell and be prepared to: Share your name, purpose of your visit, child's name and teacher.

  4. Use the computer in the vestibule to sign your child out.

  5. Be ready to show your ID. We will consistently enforce this practice and will only release students to parents/guardians.

  6. If anyone other than a parent/guardian is picking up your child, please email gres_attendance@dublinschools.net . This also applies to individuals listed on your emergency contacts in Infinite Campus if it is a mid-day pick up.

Thank you for your understanding and support in following these safety procedures. Together, we help keep Glacier Ridge a safe place for all students to learn and grow.

Reminder for Student Walkers and Bike Riders at Arrival Reminder for Student Walkers and Bike Riders at Arrival

As a reminder, students who walk and ride their bike to school should wait at the back playground door upon arriving. For safety reasons, students are not permitted to play on the playground during this time before the bell rings. In addition, all bike riders and walkers must stay on the designated path to get to the bike rack. Please do not cut through the front of the school or into the parking lot. The doors will open for entry at 9:00 AM. If your child is a walker or bike rider, we appreciate you reminding them of these morning procedures.
