We are back in-person, and we are loving it! While it was a short week, everything went smoothly for our transition from hybrid to in-person learning this week. Students do still have the option to learn remotely, but the number of remote students continues to decline. It makes a big difference when we have our students here at school.
I am also excited to announce that we can now offer opportunities for our students outside of school. Junior High Girl's Volleyball tryouts will be this Monday, January 25th from 3:30-5:30 at Wolf Ridge. Volleyball is able to have both practices and games. Junior High Boy's Basketball will begin having open gyms starting Thursday, January 28th from 5:30-7:00 at Wolf Ridge. They just announced this afternoon that boys can now have games. In this case, the scheduled open gym will now possibly be a tryout. We will provide you with more information as we receive it. These things are changing daily right now. We will be announcing more information about Junior High Scholastic Bowl next week. Our 5th and 6th grade students also have the opportunity to participate in STEM Club each Tuesday afterschool until 3:30. Masks will be required at all times during these events. Participants should bring a water bottle, also.
It is very exciting to be able to again offer these opportunities. It will not be the same, as it is crucial that we continue to be diligent with following safety procedures, but it will hopefully be a much needed outlet for our students. Your child's safety and well-being is always at the forefront of what we do.
Kind regards,
Mrs. Ronen
