Noteworthy News

The end of the school year has so many great performances and events planned to showcase all of the hard work of our talented musicians! This letter is broken down by ensemble, but I do encourage you to see when the other ensembles are performing to support their achievements as well. If you need more clarification or just have questions, reach out through email.

April 22 - OMEA STATE Large Group Adjudication - Findlay HS 10:15 AM

Students will perform in their concert band uniforms. Be sure that the uniforms are cleaned and pressed as well as all parts are accounted for. REMINDER: gentlemen need to wear black socks and ladies need to wear black hose/knee highs. More details will be shared through the BAND app.

May 6 - Senior Awards Concert - 7:00 PM New London Varsity Gym

We will be using our concert band uniforms for this performance. See reminders above.

May 29 - Memorial Day Parades - 10 AM & 2 PM (Final Exam Grade for Seniors)

Marching Band Members will be wearing their WHITE band t-shirt, black athletic shorts, black socks and black marching band shoes. Assignments for the afternoon parade will be made available later.

June 4 - Graduation - 3 PM

Concert Band members are to dress up for graduation. Skirts need to be of appropriate length when seated and tops need to meet NL Dress Code Policies. Jeans, shorts and casual footwear is not appropriate for this event.

The annual Jazz Band Spaghetti Dinner will be held on Saturday, April 29 at 6 PM in the cafetorium. Tickets can be purchased through Local Level Events. Meal tickets will not be sold at the door.

Jazz Band Members are reminded that their $20 membership fee must be paid by April 17. Checks must be made payable to New London Schools.

Jazz Band Members have selected their raffle basket teams and themes. Raffle baskets must be turned in by April 28.

April 15 - JH Solo & Ensemble

Those students participating in Solo and Ensemble have been given specific instructions to the events of that day. Please speak with your musician for details.

May 6 - Spring Awards Concert 7 PM - NL Varsity Gym

Students are to wear black dress pants, black socks/hose, black dress shoes and a white dress shirt.

May 12 - Cedar Point Music in the Parks

Students will wear jeans, socks, clean tennis shoes and their 2023 performance t-shirt for the Cedar Point performance. Use the button below to order your student's shirt. All orders must by in by April 17 with money due on May 1.

Ticket & Chaperone information was sent home with students on 4/4/2023. This form must be returned to Mrs. Carbone by THURSDAY, APRIL 6, 2023! A button has been added below to access this document.
