President's Message
Four members of Alpha Epsilon happened to book a trip last May with Collette Vacations to the Pacific Northwest and California. The week long adventure began in Seattle, a city of beauty and culture. Then we followed the coasts of WA, OR, and CA with stops at National Parks, rogue rivers, lighthouses, tidal pools, giant redwoods and CA cedars. Elaine Brubaker, Mary Fell, Joan Vicary and I immersed ourselves in savoring the crab, shrimp, oysters, shrimp and fish, walking the Japanese Gardens, smelling the roses of Portland and traveling the Columbia River Gorge with its lavender farm and waterfalls. San Francisco was an anticlimax, for its Pier 38 had an abundance of sea lions, candy shops, boat rides and of course, Alcatraz. The Principio area which overlooks the SF Bridge abutted the tunnel top gardens where we wandered and took picture after picture of the bridge and bay. And we came home well!

Convention secrets
We sure had a great time at the TN convention in Sewanee. There was a little adventure when we got to Monteagle and found out the rental house had "been skunked" and had water damage as well.
So we were offered a big cabin, which was pretty - but only had two bathrooms. That was tough for the ladies whose bed was upstairs! We survived and enjoyed the fellowship.
