Mustang of the Day Celebration:
Every day one Gayman staff member selects one student to be our "Mustang of the Day"! Students are selected for demonstrating one of the "Mighty Core 4" character traits: respect, responsibility, kindness, and perseverance. - We are celebrating our 1st Trimester winners on Tuesday, December 2nd. Families of all the winners were emailed an invitation.
Season of Giving:
Each year during the holidays, our community has generously supported Gayman families in need. This year, we are asking our Gayman community to choose a tag from our tree, which is displayed in the front hallway. – You may help by purchasing a gift card for the store your tag indicates-either Walmart, Target, or Amazon.
Please bring the gift cards to the office by Wednesday, December 10th, labeled with the value of each gift card.
We, as a staff, would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your generosity! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to set an example for children to bring joy to others.
Warmest holiday wishes to you and your family,
The Staff of Gayman Elementary School
Say "YAY" to Pajama Day:
Friday, December 12th is Pajama Day! Say "Yay!" to Pajama Day by sending in a donation for the patients and families at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
The time for breakthroughs is now. CHOP is on the cusp of life-changing discoveries for children. They are transforming the well-being of children and creating healthier communities throughout Philadelphia and across the world.
We are raising money because we want to help make today's innovative ideas, tomorrow's realities.
Donations to CHOP can be made by bringing cash to school on December 12th or online anytime at: Gayman Elementary CHOP PJ Day - Fundraising For Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation
During this season of kindness and generosity, we want to say thanks for supporting the needs of children everywhere!
1st Trimester Report Cards:
Report cards will be available for families to view in the Parent Portal on Monday, December 15th at 1:00pm. - Please be aware that teachers will not report on all of the report card descriptors in the first trimester. The descriptors they do not report on will be gray or they will be left blank. This is not a mistake. Students have either not yet had formal instruction on all the skills they will learn this year, or information on that indicator is incorporated into another indicator.
Save the Date!
The district is continuing to offer free breakfast.
The lunch cost for the 2025-2026 school year is: $2.85
Don't forget to sign up for MySchoolBucks to add money to your student's lunch account.

- Create low balance alerts.
- Track and review what your student is purchasing.
CBSD utilizes the online platform MySchoolBucks for school meal payments, making it easy to oversee a child's meal choices and maintain their account balance. It is important that an account is created for every student, regardless of whether they take part in school meals or not. You can access MySchoolBucks to view and/or set up an account for your student(s) here. To set up an account, you will need your child(ren)'s student identification number(s), which can be found in the Parent Portal.

CBSD District Information
Early Dismissal for all Students on December 23rd
All students will be dismissed early on Tuesday, Dec. 23rd. The district's 12-month print calendar mistakenly lists early dismissal for grades 1-6. Families are encouraged to also check the district and school online calendars on the district and school websites for the most up-to-date and accurate information.
Helping Families Manage After-School Device Use
Families looking for support in managing students’ screen time can now enroll in the optional Lightspeed Parent Portal, which lets parents view their child’s after-school internet activity on district devices. The tool provides weekly activity reports and simple controls to pause browsing or block certain content outside of school hours. Parents and guardians can sign up through the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus and find full details in the online Lightspeed guide.
CB Farmers Market: Get What You Need, Share What You Can
The CB Farmers Market offers fresh food and essentials to any district family in need, and all are welcome with a quick pre-registration for a membership card and pick-up time. Families looking for support can learn more and sign up through the CB Farmers Market webpage. Community members who want to help can donate food or gift cards, or volunteer as a “grocery buddy,” with details available online.
Guidelines for Student Cell Phone Use During School Hours
As part of the district's ongoing digital wellness work, a short video is now available that explains the district’s guidelines for student use of cell phones and personal electronic devices. New posters reinforcing these expectations will be displayed in schools to help students build healthy habits throughout the day. We appreciate everyone’s partnership in supporting a positive and focused learning environment.
2025-26 Family Handbook
All CBSD families and students are encouraged to carefully review the 2025-26 Family Handbook now available on the district's website. The handbook includes sections on important topics such as equal opportunity protections; report cards; health, special education, and other services for students; regulations and disciplinary procedures, including policies on smoking/vaping, drugs and alcohol, and threats; technology and cell phone usage; parental rights; Title IX procedures; and more. Thank you for your support in following district guidelines to maintain safe and caring schools.
Disciplinary Procedures and Responsibilities
All families and students are encouraged to view this chart outlining disciplinary procedures and responsibilities in CBSD. You can also view the complete Board Policy 218: Student Discipline.

Early Dismissal for Appointments:
Student dismissal begins promptly at 3:15PM.
If you need to pick your child up early for an appointment, please pick them up no later then 2:45PM. After 2:45PM, your child can be dismissed with the other walkers, bus riders, and car riders in his/her classroom to ensure a safe and efficient dismissal for everyone. Thank you!
Volunteering Information:
To volunteer at a class party or chaperone a field trip, your clearances must be up-to-date & on file with Central Bucks School District.
If your clearances are current, upload them into the RAPTOR - Volunteer Tracker. If your clearances have expired, or you need to begin the clearance process, click on the Required Documents for the directions. For more information, consult the Human Resources Volunteer Required Paperwork webpage.
**We no longer have access to App Garden. All clearances approved through that system are null and void. The only way we can track clearances now is through RAPTOR.**
Cell Phones, Smart Watches, & Personal Devices:
At Gayman, the use of student cell phones/SMART Watches/personal devices in school is prohibited. As a reminder, these devices are to be silenced and remain in backpacks during the school day. If communication is needed, it will take place with the support of the school office during the school day.
Please be sure to share these expectations with your child as this policy will be enforced by teachers/staff in coordination with District Board policies and our student handbook.
