MONDAY MORNING MUSTANG
February 9th - February 13th, 2026
Good Morning Mustangs
It has certainly been a very full few weeks, balancing our day-to-day responsibilities while also planning ahead for the 2026β2027 school year. Thank you all for the time, energy, and care you have put into supporting these events. WHS has truly shined over the past few weeks, and that is a direct reflection of our staff coming together and doing exceptional work.
I would also like to extend a sincere thank you to our SEL Committee for their work on this monthβs SEL strategy. I absolutely love this one and believe it sends a powerful message to our students when they are greeted with warmth and positivity.
This week, we will be holding period-by-period staff meetings. Each meeting will begin with information and updates, followed by proctor training. Those who are not assigned to proctor will be excused from that portion of the meeting. We look forward to seeing you all in H5.
Have a great week Mustangs.
My best,
Jamie

Your Quick Guide to Field Trip Approvals
Youβve all been doing such a great job filling out and submitting your field trip requests! We know it can be a grueling process with all the forms, permission slips, and approvals required and we truly appreciate you following the District process. There have been a few requests to repost the steps, so here is a clear breakdown to help:
π Step 1: Facilities & Activities Request Form
Complete this form first so Admin can review the campus calendars and confirm that your requested date works.
π Step 2: District Field Trip Request
Once your date is confirmed, fill out the District Field Trip Request so the approval process can begin.
Heads Up: A Transportation Request must also be completed in order to receive a TF number.
π Track Your Approval Status and use the Field Trip Tracker to check where your field trip is in the approval process.

Do you have something youβd like to request information on for the upcoming Friday Forecast or the Website or Monday Morning Mustang?
If so, please use the following Google Doc to submit your request:
π HERE
We appreciate your input and look forward to including your information!
Detention
Detention runs from 3:35-4:35 in Room H8. Students may be assigned either a 30 minute or 1 hour detention for violating expectations outlined in the student handbook. Cellular phones must be kept out of sight and must not be heard. If this is not followed, GLCs and detention facilitators will have students place their cell phones into a locked cabinet for the duration of their detention. When detention ends, students may remove their cellular phone from the locked cabinet.
Hallpass Reminder!
Students/Teachers only need to enter in their ID number in A3 and select a reason. Once they return, select the Check In box.
After a reason is selected, a new row will be created and A3 will be empty (as shown in the photo).
Do not let students type their name, as that will cause errors in the sheet.
If you every have questions or problems, please reach out to Richard.
PLC Collaboration Update
As we head into this week's collaboration meeting surrounding "where are we with PLC's", I wanted to share our five district commitments as the stages of implementation. By years end our goal is to be at Stage 3. Here are some visuals.
