Fairview Public Schools
District Update March 2025
Superintendent's Message
Dear Fairview Community,
I hope this letter finds you well as we move through the heart of the school year. March is a time for reflection, growth, and looking ahead as we continue working together to support our students’ success. I am grateful for the dedication and partnership of our teachers, staff, families, and community members in ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality education.
Last month, we celebrate Black History Month, an opportunity to honor the rich heritage, achievements, and contributions of African Americans throughout history. Our schools engaged students in meaningful discussions, activities, and lessons that recognized the impact of Black leaders, artists, scientists, and activists who have shaped our nation and continue to inspire us today.
March also brings a renewed focus on student well-being. As we navigate the winter months, I encourage everyone to be mindful of both physical and mental health. Our district continues to offer resources and support to ensure that students feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. Please do not hesitate to reach out to school counselors or administrators if your child needs any assistance.
Academically, we are entering a crucial period as students work toward their goals and prepare for upcoming assessments. I encourage parents and guardians to stay engaged in their children's learning by reviewing assignments, communicating with teachers, and participating in school events. Your involvement makes a significant difference in student achievement and confidence.
As we look forward to spring, we are excited about upcoming events and community initiatives that strengthen our connection with one another. Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to education. Together, we continue to build a vibrant and inclusive learning environment for all.
Yours in education,
Damon J. Englese, M.Ed.
