W.E.stchester Weekly

Greetings WE Families,

The Groundhog is telling us that there are six more weeks of Winter? Well, I know I am ready for Spring, especially after the January we just had. Hopefully, the cold air will be warming soon. It felt warmer today. We look forward to our February Winter Break from February 16th to 20th.

I want to tell you about a special event that will take place this Spring. We will have a Spring Fling Performance on April 1, 2026. We have not had our traditional Celebrations of Learning, during which students have an opportunity to showcase their musical talents. We would like to invite you to our school performance. Please plan to join us from 8:45-9:45 a.m. for some musical enjoyment.

Stay engaged and up to date with CSD.

• Dr. Whitaker's Winter Listening Session: February 5, 5:30-6:30 p.m., DHA Community Resource Center. Mark your calendars for the remaining dates for this year:

• April 28 (DHA); May 7 (WE); May 14 (online)

• School Board Meeting: February 10, 2026

• Board of Education Community Meetings: March 25, April 27

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for these upcoming Westchester events:

• Community Circle, All Invited: February 27, 2026

Have a wonderful weekend.

From your very grateful principal,

Christine Knox

The Westchester Wolves will be hitting the pavement with the Decatur community on March 14th, to run the Tour Decatur. This is a great race and we would like all the Wolves to show up in their orange.
