Welcome to the 25-26 School Year!
Welcome to a brand-new school year—one full of opportunities, growth, and yes, some twists and turns along the way.
This year, we are embracing a theme that reflects not only who we are, but how we adapt and get through: “There is Strength in the Twist”
Like the Pretzel that proudly represents us, we know life isn’t always straight and smooth. It bends. It twists. It throws us curveballs. But here’s the truth—we are built to bend and twist, not to break.
Resilience means showing up when things get tough. It means raising your hand even when you're unsure. It means trying again after you didn’t get it right the first time. It’s asking for help. It’s showing grace to others—and to yourself.
You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to keep going.
And Pretzels, please know you are not alone on this journey. You’ve got classmates, teachers, coaches, counselors, a principal, and a community that believes in you. We’re in this together. And every challenge we face this year - that’s just another loop in the twist that makes our story strong—and uniquely ours.
So here’s my challenge to you this year:
Be brave enough to stretch.
Strong enough to recover.
And salty enough to keep your sense of humor when things get tough.
Let’s make this year one where we embrace our challenges, support one another, and rise stronger than ever.
Because we are Pretzels. We are twisted. We are Salty!
Let's make this year the best year ever!
Mrs. Llewellyn

What is 211?
With approximately 1.5 million nonprofit organizations in the United States plus scores of
government agencies, finding help can be confusing and intimidating. People who need help
often do not know where to begin.
211 call centers are staffed by trained specialists who quickly assess the callers’ needs and
refer them to the help they seek. It’s simple to remember, accessible to everyone, toll-free,
available 24/7, with multilingual capabilities.
211 in Sangamon and Menard County is funded by United Way of Central Illinois. By bringing
this service to the community, especially at a time when more individuals and families need
health and human service support, United Way is fulfilling its mission of mobilizing resources to
meet community needs.
