Principal's Message
Dear Families,
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your partnership over the past school year. Our halls are buzzing with excitement as the end of the year nears, and looking back, it is truly inspiring to see how much our students have grown academically, socially, and emotionally. From opening a new school, cheering on our students at recent spring events to watching them conquer challenging classroom projects, your constant support and encouragement from home have been the secret ingredient to our school's success this year.
As we wrap up the remaining weeks, we have plenty of exciting year-end celebrations, field trips, and special activities planned to honor our students' hard work. Please keep an eye on our school calendar for upcoming dates, and help us remind the students to stay focused and finish the year strong. I wish you all a wonderful, relaxing summer ahead, and I look forward to celebrating a fantastic conclusion to the school year together!
Warmly,
Angie Houston

Counselor's Corner
Hello HGMS families!
It's hard to believe we are wrapping up the 2025-2026 school year already!
Students have finished up their Second Step curriculum for social emotional learning. Over the course of this school year, we have learned skills in growth mindset and goal setting, developing a positive sense of self, emotions, decision making, empathy and kindness, managing relationships, and conflict resolution. As our students move into summer it's important to make sure each student has a safe place, a safe person, and healthy coping skills that they can utilize if and when needed over the summer time. Making sure students get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and limit screen time as much as possible are all healthy and important aspects of the summer time off!
