Good Morning it’s Sunday JULY 5
When the River Bend Membership Corporation in Falling Waters, West Virginia, chose to discontinue the park's official website, it left members without a central source for timely, reliable information about park operations, events, and community activities. RiverBend.App stepped in to fill that gap and has become the primary online information hub for the River Bend community. Designed specifically for members, it delivers up-to-date information on park operations, weather alerts, Potomac River conditions, recreation events, activity schedules, security notices, pool updates, Board news, maintenance projects, and important community announcements. Whether you're planning your next visit or staying connected while away from the park, RiverBend.App provides the latest information you need—all in one convenient, mobile-friendly location.

Heavy thunderstorms will again move across the region today into tomorrow. Flash and urban flooding will be the main concern with these thunderstorms. River flooding is not expected, but cannot be ruled out, especially if heavier rain falls in a quicker responding river basin. Whether you’re an experienced rider or just getting started, we welcome all members who want to have fun, meet new friends, support our trail system, and help build a positive riding culture here at River Bend.
Several important topics are currently being discussed to improve the club and enhance the member experience. One proposal is to establish a four-person Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. This structure would help keep the club organized while distributing responsibilities more evenly among leadership. Members are also exploring improvements to trash management by placing and maintaining trash receptacles at trailheads to help keep our trail system clean and enjoyable for everyone.
Another priority is addressing the mud and dust issues around the 139 Block, with the goal of making that area safer and more comfortable for members and visitors. In addition, plans are being considered to create and clearly mark a golf-cart-friendly trail, giving golf cart owners a designated route to enjoy while helping minimize conflicts with other trail users. Finally, an Octobe Trail Work Weekend is being planned, bringing members together to volunteer their time improving, repairing, and maintaining the trail system before the arrival of winter. These discussions reflect the club's continued commitment to improving facilities, encouraging member involvement, and preserving the trails for everyone to enjoy. More

With the large increase in population over the holiday weekend, our well pumps are operating at maximum capacity. The water tower is currently at 27.5 feet. Please help conserve water by turning off unnecessary water features and using water only for essential needs whenever possible. Every little bit helps ensure an adequate water supply for everyone throughout the weekend. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
As we head into the holiday weekend, we're actively searching for a new General Manager while our dedicated staff continues providing excellent service to our members. All management positions are fully staffed for the weekend, the pools will be open despite the extreme heat, and preparations are complete for another great fireworks display. Recent electrical upgrades were also completed to help ensure reliable service during the holiday. Thank you to our staff for their hard work and dedication. Have a safe, enjoyable, and Happy Fourth of July weekend!
As we head into a hot holiday weekend, please help conserve electricity by limiting air conditioning and hot water use, as the park is still operating with limited power from Potomac Edison while upgrades continue. Please place all bagged household trash in the compactor and reserve dumpsters for non-household items. Our Maintenance team will be on duty all weekend to keep things running smoothly. Thank you for your cooperation, and have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend.
The new positions are as follows:
Chairman - Ada Fryer Treasurer - Dawn Marcus Secretary- Amy Switzer President - Denny Marone Vice President - Danny Clark 2nd Vice Pres - Larry Fellows 3rd Vice President - Dave Kita
Board of Directors Responsibilities (Summary)
- Chairman: Leads the board, presides over meetings, and provides strategic direction.
- Treasurer: Oversees finances, budgets, and the organization's financial health.
- Secretary: Maintains records, ensures legal compliance, and documents meeting minutes.
- President: Oversees day-to-day operations and implements board policies.
- Vice President: Assists the President and assumes their duties when needed.
Please make every effort to conserve electricity during this weekend’s extreme heat. With high temperatures and humidity expected, overall demand on the system will be significantly increased, and reducing unnecessary usage will help maintain stability for everyone. Simple steps like limiting air conditioning use when possible, avoiding multiple high-demand appliances at the same time, and keeping doors and windows closed while cooling systems are running can make a meaningful difference. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping keep the system running smoothly for all members during the hot weather.
