WEEKLY RECAP
IT was another great week at Parkston Elementary! Routines and our everyday structure are starting to take hold and days are flying by. I'm so proud of our students and how they are working and transitioning back into the demands of school life.
Learning is happening everywhere I look. Kindergarten students are working on numbers and beginning to study the spelling of colors. Second grade students are learning about plants, specifically their life cycle and what that all entails. Third graders are reviewing math facts and rounding skills, and fifth graders are working on their reading comprehension skills. There is so much learning that takes place on a daily basis here. I could go on and on, but feel like it's important to share a few things of what I've seen while roaming the halls.
This week we will begin our monthly mindsets. For the next seven months, we will work through a new mindset every month. The seven mindsets consist of the following themes-- Everything is Possible, Passion First, We are Connected, 100% Accountable, Attitude of Gratitude, Live to Give, and The Time is Now. We will celebrate these mindsets and use them to help us grow in our social and emotional well-being!!
