Message from the Principal
Hello Lely Parents and Families,
Hard to believe that we are about to close out our first quarter of the school year. My how time flies!
Thank you to everyone who attended Curriculum Night. We appreciate the time you took to learn more about classroom expectations, curriculum, and ways to support student achievement throughout the year.
We are fast approaching the holiday season, and we are excited about the many learning opportunities and special events that the season will bring. This time of year, provides wonderful opportunities for students to celebrate achievements, build relationships, and create lasting memories within our school community. More information is coming about these events.
We are also preparing for the election of parent representatives for our School Advisory Council (SAC). If you completed the purple nomination form during Curriculum Night, your name will be included on the ballot for parents to vote on as SAC representatives. We encourage all families to participate in the voting process and help select parents who will serve as important voices in supporting our school's continued success.
Thank you again for your ongoing support, encouragement, and involvement. Together, we are creating a positive and enriching learning environment for all students.
I look forward to a successful second quarter.

First Grade Pride
The first grade team would like to thank all parents and family members for supporting the students and helping them get their homework completed each night. Also, please help your child learn to tie their shoelaces. Thank you Lely Family!
A special field trip to the library!
Every month ALL of our Lely Lions get the chance to visit the public library!
Second Grade Pride
Thank you Mr. Eckert for sharing the baby chicks with our Lely Family.
Third Grade Pride
In addition to math homework, your child is now bringing home reading homework. The reading passages are on grade level, and the questions are similar in style to the progress monitoring FAST test. This will be a good indication of how your child’s reading comprehension is progressing throughout the year. If you find that there are areas of concern, please reach out to us so that we can work together to ensure your child’s success.
Third Grade at Artis Naples
Fourth Grade Pride
We’ve had a great month of learning in fourth grade!
🔬 Science: We wrapped up our unit on physical and chemical changes! Students had fun conducting experiments and observing these changes in action. Ask your child to tell you about one of our experiments and explain whether it showed a physical or chemical change!
📚 Reading: As we get closer to the end of the quarter, our goal is 20 AR points. Ask your child, “How many AR points do you have?” Don’t forget to keep up with 20 minutes of reading every night!
✖️ Math: We’ve started working on multiplication! Please practice basic multiplication facts 1–12 with your child whenever you can. Even a few minutes of practice each day will help build confidence and fluency.
Thank you for partnering with us and supporting your child’s learning at home! 💙
We want to highlight Ben's accomplishments on the soccer field! Way to Go!!!

Thank you to all of the Safety Patrol Officers!
