Reminder there is no school Friday April 15th, the start of April school break, we reopen for our school day return on Monday April 25th.

Next week is the start of our 4th and 3rd grade ELA MCAS days. On test days it is important for our students to be on time. Testing begins early in the school day. Having a good night sleep the night before and a hearty breakfast also helps students be at their best. We know they will do great! Below are the test dates:

English Language Arts MCAS

Grade 4- April 11&12

Grade 3- April 13 and 14

4th grade students will be taking a group photo for the yearbook on April 13th. We are asking all students to wear maroon & white for this photo if possible!

4th grade parents! Did you think about leaving your child a personalized note in the yearbook? SHOUTOUTS are $5, and are a simple way to make your child feel extra special when they look through all the pages! Your donation also helps support the 4th grade celebration day. COST: $5 (limit one shout out per child), DUE DATE: MONDAY, APRIL 25TH

Whether you can volunteer for just an hour, or the entire day, we'd love to have volunteers join the 4th graders on June 10th to make the celebration day amazing for all the kids. Specific volunteer slots will be sent out closer to the event, but please save the date! 4th grade parents are also invited to join their child for a picnic lunch midday (adults please bring your own food).

Byam WALK-A-THON: May 21st

The Byam Walk-a-Thon is back! Have you signed your child up for the biggest event of the Byam school year?! May 21st, 11am-3pm (rain or shine!) Get the whole family together to participate in a day full of exercise, socializing, fun and PRIZES! Louie the Lion has been out walking laps to get himself ready!

Stop by Byam School anytime between 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday 4/28/2022 to view the amazing artwork created by our students this year. Every child will have work displayed. Kindergarten and 4th grade artwork will be displayed on the first floor. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade will have artwork displayed on the second floor. There will also be a lovely photo opportunity in the lobby, an art scavenger hunt, and some giant posters in the Art room where you can "Make Your Mark" with a doodle! You can also stop by the Scholastic Book Fair while you are at Byam!
