THANK YOU!

We want to thank our fabulous Mt. Horeb K5 PTO and all of our amazing ELC/PC families for their generous gifts and treats for Teacher/Staff Appreciation week. We are touched by the thoughtfulness and support.

With Sincere Thanks,

ELC/PC Staff

Thank You From The PTO!

Our K-5 PTO had a blast showering our staff with love for Staff Appreciation week! A HUGE thank-you to K&A Greenhouse for supplying every staff member with a plant! We also want to give a shout-out to Miller's for helping us to feed our staff on Friday with a salad bar! Finally, THANK YOU to all the families that helped stock the lounges with treats! We truly appreciate your help in showing our gratitude for all our staff does for our children and community!

If you are interested in joining the PTO, we'd love to have you! Our final meeting for this school year is Wednesday, May 14th in the IC art room at 6:30! Otherwise, we hope to see you next year!

Fire Evacuation Practice

Tomorrow we will be holding our third and final fire evacuation practice of the year. These drills are an important part of keeping our students safe by helping them learn to exit the building quickly and calmly in case of an emergency.

Our teachers will prepare students in advance so they know what to expect. After the evacuation practice, classroom teachers will debrief with their students. Thank you for continuing to reinforce that school is a safe place, and for encouraging your child to speak with a trusted adult if they ever have any questions or concerns.

We appreciate your partnership in helping us keep our school community safe!

Third Grade Orientation

Hello Second Grade Families!

Please read on to learn about your child's upcoming visit to the Intermediate Center:

On Monday, May 19th, the Intermediate Center is hosting a Third Grade Orientation for second-grade students during the school day. Your child's class will come over to the IC via bus to see what our school is all about. Students will visit with me in a mini-assembly, take a tour of the school, play a game, and have recess on our playground. We hope this answers many of their questions and wonders and gets them excited to join us next year.

We are sure parents and caregivers will have many questions and wonders as well, and we look forward to meeting with them during our back to school events in August and September. Stay tuned for more details.

We can't wait to meet your students next week!
