Recognition of Fine Work
Congratulations to our very own Emily Marquez, a fifth-grade student whose portrait of Martin Luther King, Jr. was accepted into the EPISD 'Celebrating Black History Month through the Arts' show. Her artwork is being displayed in the EPISD art gallery until after Spring Break. We are so proud of you, Emily!
Your Opinion Matters
Guerrero’s PTA is seeking parent recommendations and suggestions for upcoming events. If there is an event you would like to see PTA host, please contact Ms. Carina Vega at (915) 236-3075. Thank you in advance for your participation!
Important Morning Drop-Off Reminders
Parents we need your assistance when dropping of your child at the drop-off zone in the morning. Please ensure that you drive all the way forward to minimize traffic on Lakehurst. If you have any questions, or concerns, please call the office at (915) 236-3075. Thank you in advance for your help.
Attendance Matters
Thank you, parents and guardians, for encouraging your child(ren) to attend school. Our attendance goal for the 2025-2026 academic school year is 96%.
Attendance Rate for week of February 23rd - 94.77%
Please support your child's learning by encouraging them to attend school every day.
Parents, just a reminder that STAAR testing is coming up and it is imperative that all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students attend school everyday.
Please provide written documentation when your child is absent. Submit absence documentation to our front office staff or email: guerrero_notes@episd.org
Cell Phone Policy: Key Reminders
Please remind your child that;
Student's may not use a cell phone, smartwatch, tablet, AI glasses, earbuds or any other digital communication device during school hours unless it is for instructional purposes.
Students may bring devices to school but must have them powered off and stored out of sight in backpacks, handbags or satchels.
Students found using an electronic device without teacher consent will have the device confiscated. Parent or guardian will have to retrieve the device from administration.
We open our doors at 7:30 a.m. for students. We have teachers and coaches welcoming students at the front office doors and at our side doors making the drop-off lane extremely convenient. Front office is available for assistance from 7:30-4:00 daily.
- Please be aware that there is no adult supervision before 7:30 a.m.
- When dropping off or picking up your child in the parking lot, please pull forward all the way to ensure traffic on Lakehurst is not blocked to thru traffic.
- Please slow down and be patient with the parking lot protocol. The safety of all our students is our number one priority.
