National SRO Appreciation Day - 2/15/26
We are incredibly grateful for our outstanding School Resource Officer, Deputy Jeremy Gwinn. Deputy Gwinn brings kindness, humor, and just the right amount of goofiness to brighten our days, while also remaining deeply observant and proactive in keeping our school safe. He has a remarkable ability to identify concerns early and work collaboratively to solve problems before they grow. A true teammate, he looks out for every member of our school community—students and staff alike—with genuine care and dedication. We are lucky to have someone who not only protects our building, but truly invests in the school community. Thank you, Deputy Gwinn!

Student & Staff Member of the Week!
Every week, students and staff have the opportunity to nominate a peer and PCHS staff member for recognition in the school, and for the student, recognition in The Livingston Daily. Nominations are based on how fellow Pirates are demonstrating the character strengths we prioritize in Pinckney Community Schools. Our Leadership & Link Crew class reviews nominations and selects each week's honorees. Enjoy learning about our excellent Pirates!!
Student of the Week
Ninth grader Sophia Bennett is off to a wonderful start in high school. She consistently demonstrates integrity, kindness, gratitude, and intelligence in all that she does. Sophia treats others with respect, makes thoughtful decisions, and is always willing to help classmates who need support.
Her curiosity and strong thinking skills help her quickly grasp new ideas, and she uses her talents in ways that positively impact those around her. Sophia’s positive attitude and appreciation for learning make her a valued member of our school community. We are excited to see all she will accomplish in the years ahead.
Staff of the Week
Mrs. Dailey is a dedicated teacher who brings enthusiasm and kindness into her classroom every day. She keeps an open mind, welcoming new ideas and encouraging students to share their thoughts and perspectives.
Her commitment to helping students learn and grow is evident in the meaningful progress they make throughout the year. By setting high expectations and providing thoughtful support, she creates a positive environment where students are both challenged and encouraged. The growth students experience in her class reflects her belief in their potential and her dedication to helping them do their very best.
Freshman of the Week
Our Leadership Class highlights a different freshman each week on the building TVs, and we want to start sharing them with you too! This has been a great way to meet our 9th graders and learn about how awesome they are.
What We Did in Seminar Today
No Seminar due to the Mid-Winter Break.

PCHS Monthly STRENGTH: Love
Across the month of February, we will capitalize on opportunities to put the character strength of LOVE to work as a school community, during Seminar, class time, and in the day-to-day of our building. Take advantage of opportunities to touch upon this strength at home! In the image below, you can see the rationale for why the Leadership Class selected this strength to be the focus at this time in our school year.
Want to engage with this character strength at home? Check out this family resource page: https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/9-12/love/ You’ll find a quote, video, and questions to help you and your children discuss The Positivity Project’s character strength of love.
