Rock Hill kicked off its season in style Friday night, rolling past River Bluff 31–18 behind explosive plays on both sides of the ball. The Bearcats struck first and never trailed, delivering a complete effort to start the year 1–0.

Senior running back Marvin Randolph set the tone offensively, punishing the Gators with 173 yards on 10 carries and a touchdown, while also catching 2 passes for 29 yards. Junior wideout Kam Wilson added the highlight-reel moments in the passing game, turning 2 catches into 106 yards and a score.

The defense made just as much noise. Junior linebacker Donovan Franklin opened the scoring by jumping a route and racing 31 yards with an interception for a touchdown, setting an early tone of aggression. Senior linebacker Kolben Thompson was everywhere, piling up 14 tackles, while junior linebacker Kaleb Wright added 9 stops and 3 quarterback pressures. In the trenches, senior defensive end Zaire Williams dominated with 3 sacks, 3 QB pressures, and 2 tackles for loss, leading a front that kept the Gators off balance.

River Bluff fought to stay within reach, cutting into the margin in the second half, but Rock Hill’s balance—home-run plays on offense and relentless pursuit on defense—proved too much. The Bearcats closed out the night with a punishing run game and timely stops to seal the 31–18 victory.
