Join us on ParentSquare...

Have you joined us on ParentSquare? ParentSquare is designed to bring most of our school communication with families down to one place and give our staff a safe way to communicate directly with our students.

Families can choose how they receive information - you can get each piece right away or you can get a single condensed piece at the end of the day. Emergency notifications and urgent information, of course, are sent right away.

Activate Your Account

You should have received an invitation email or text to join ParentSquare. Please click the link to activate your account. It takes less than a minute! If you did not receive an invite, simply visit www.parentsquare.com and use the contact information you use in PowerSchool to receive a new invitation.

You can use ParentSquare on any device. You can download the free mobile app for Android or iOS and you can also use it from a computer at www.parentsquare.com

Click here to view step by step instructions (translated options available).

Our goal is for every family to join ParentSquare. If you have any questions, please contact your child's school or the DCSC Administration Office.

Please note: Parents and guardians will still receive email or text communication from DCSC even if they don't sign up for ParentSquare. Signing up enables you to interact with the platform via desktop and/or mobile app and gives you FREE access to many great features!

2026-2027 Student Curricular Fees

Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Danville Community School Corporation will reintroduce student curricular fees following updated guidance from the State of Indiana and approval by the Board of School Trustees. In recent years, the district has covered these costs, but collecting allowable fees will help preserve Education Fund dollars for classroom instruction, educational programs, and student learning resources.

What families should know:

  • Fees will not be charged before school begins. Families will receive fee information after the school year starts once student schedules and enrollments have been finalized.
  • Elementary and Middle School: Students will be charged one standard curricular fee for the school year.
  • High School: Fees are based on the specific courses a student is taking. To account for schedule changes and varying course costs, fees will be billed in two installments—one in the fall and one in the spring.
  • Fee assistance: Students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals will receive reduced curricular fees. Those on free lunch will only pay 50% of the fee cost, and those on reduced lunch will pay 75% of the fee cost.

Additional information, including payment timelines and instructions, will be shared with families after the start of the school year.

New Indiana "Bell-to-Bell" Personal Device Law for the 2026-2027 School Year

Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Indiana's Senate Enrolled Act 78 requires all public schools to limit student use of personal electronic devices during the school day. Students will be expected to keep personal devices—including cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, tablets, and gaming devices—powered off and stored from the first bell until dismissal, with limited exceptions required by law.

Each DCSC school will share building-specific procedures before the start of the school year. Families may continue to contact the school office with important messages, and middle and high school students will have access to a district-approved ParentSquare messaging feature on their school-issued Chromebook at appropriate times during the school day.

Thank you for your partnership as we implement this statewide requirement and continue to create learning environments where students can stay focused and engaged.

Transportation App Information...

Welcome back, bus riders! The first thing you are going to want to do to start our year out together strong is download the Stopfinder app on your app store. It is the one with the stop sign as the logo. You will not be able to login to your student’s bus information until you receive the link from our transportation system. This will allow you to have access to your student’s bus schedule, keep an eye on the bus during routes, and receive any messages that we may need to send to you regarding any changes that may occur to the bus schedules throughout the year.

We strongly encourage you to allow notifications, as there could be bus changes at times, and this will allow you to immediately be notified. This app also allows you to share bus stop information with caregivers and your students so that they can also receive notifications of information.

Wondering about our 2026-2027 school dates? Here you go!

This year we have four days blocked off for eLearning and Waiver of Instruction Days/Release Days granted by the Department of Education. The eLearning days will be eLearning BASIC days where students can complete their assigned work at their own pace, and teachers will have office hours available. Waiver or Instruction/Release days are no-work days for students. Teachers will be in all day, but they will not prepare any material for students.

  • September 28 - Release Day (with practice online assignment)
  • November 3 - Release Day
  • February 24 - Release Day
  • April 5 - TBD

The last day will be determined based on how many Release days and/or eLearning days we have left. We are only allotted a certain amount each year in order to fulfill the 180 school day requirements.

These days are highlighted in purple below. Having trouble viewing the image? Download the PDF on our website here.
