Monday Memo... On A Tuesday
King's Highway Families,
I hope everyone had a great three-day weekend after a busy start to the school year. We are excited to welcome families to the building this week. Join us for an open house-style Back-to-School Night on September 4th at 6:00 PM. When you arrive, families will receive a special passport to guide you through the building as you meet our excellent staff. This is a great opportunity to explore classrooms, learn about the school’s programs, and connect with teachers and school support members at your own pace. We look forward to welcoming you and your family. Doors will open at 6:00. Do you have multiple students? You will have the time and flexibility to visit several classrooms, related arts, and school support staff.

PickUp Patrol
Plan Change Cut Off: 2:45 PM Daily
Thank you to all who have activated their Pickup Patrol accounts and set a default plan! We have already noticed the impact of clear dismissal communication here at King's Highway, and we hope that PickUp Patrol has made life a little easier for you as well. Families are always welcome to send in a note or call the office, but entering on PickUp Patrol takes minimal time and saves you a phone call.
Please check your junk/spam folders if you have not seen a PickUp Patrol welcome email. If you are getting this newsletter, you should also have a welcome email.

Car Rider Signs
Needed for Car Rider Pick Up
ALL King's Highway students will receive a PINK car rider card for use during student pick-up. Drivers must have the pink card to present to staff for pick up. Each card can be cut in half to make two. This card is to help keep the car rider line moving smoothly. If you do not have your card, please have your ID ready.
Families/Drivers, we need your help to keep the car rider line moving smoothly. Our AMAZING team of teachers does a great job, but we cannot do it without you! Please remain in vehicles when in line. Should you need to get out, we ask that you pull out of the queue so we can keep the line moving.

LEO CART - Seeking Volunteers
The Leo Cart is a special event for all King's Highway students. We are looking for volunteers to partner with the PBIS team and help make paw trade a fun event for students. The Leo Cart travels the school, visiting classrooms to allow students to come out and shop. Students trade in PRIDE paws for fun things and treats. A Leo Cart volunteer can support from a partial day to a complete cycle. Reach out to Ms. Mayan to inquire about volunteering with the King's Highway PBIS Team: MayanC@casdschools.org.
