Submitting an Absence in ParentVUE

Absences are submitted from the Attendance tile. If you have more than one student, confirm the correct student is selected at the top of the screen, then click Report Absence.

In the Report Absences window:

1. Select the Type of Absence: All Day, Arrive Late, or Leave Early. Middle and high school families also have a Classes option for specific class periods.

2. Confirm the Start Date. It defaults to the current date. An absence can only be submitted for the day of or the next day.

3. Choose a reason from the Select A Reason dropdown. This field is required.

4. Enter an explanation in the Note field. This field is required.

5. Use Add doctor’s note or document to attach a physician note or other documentation, if applicable.

6. Click Save.

College Visit Sign-up in SchooLinks

1. Log in to your SchooLinks account (https://app.schoolinks.com/).
   

2. On the Student Dashboard, click on the School Events section to see all upcoming college visits.
   

3. Click on the name of the visit you want to attend, and then click on the Register for this Event button.
   

Before attending the visit, make sure you pick up a College Visit Pass from our College & Career Readiness Office. You will need to fill out the form and have your teacher sign it before attending the visit. You will also be responsible for making up any missed work when attending a college visit.

If you have a conflict with a college visit, please email Ms. Adrienne Geiseman at adrienne.geiseman@d303.org for the college rep's contact information.

The St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 Board of Education voted on August 10, 2026, to place a ballot initiative on the November 3 ballot asking the community whether the District should issue bonds to fund maintenance needs and educational facility improvements. If your family is currently experiencing a significant financial need, our community partnerships have several supports available for families, including: school clothes/shoes, winter coats/accessories, school supplies, toiletries, holiday meals, and/or holiday gifts. If you would like to be considered for any of these supports, please complete Family Resource Form by September 11, 2026.
