STUDENT LEARNING - Target 1: Improve Student Achievement
Fall assessments are underway with high school students in grades 10 and 11 taking the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) and 11th and 12th graders taking the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. First and fourth grade students are scheduled to take the Cognitive Abilities Screening Test (CogAT) to help identify gifted students. Additionally, students in grades 2 through 10 have completed their October Evaluate assessments in Math and ELA. Monthly Evaluate assessment data is being used by principals and teachers to identify areas of growth for students and instruction during their building’s monthly Professional Learning Community (PLC) meeting.
CLIMATE & CULTURE - Target 2: Enhance Climate & Culture
Climate and Culture Survey
The district is set to use the CharacterPlus climate and culture survey to meet the Missouri School Improvement Progress (MSIP 6) continuous improvement score. The continuous improvement scoring element in MSIP 6 is designed to show how the district is working to improve student outcomes, as well as identify strengths and needs for improvement. Parents that have more than one child in the district will receive multiple surveys to gain insight on each school's climate and culture. The information collected by survey will be returned to the district to help schools improve. Once the results are generated, the district will share the results with parents. We appreciate parent collaboration in helping make a difference for our students and schools.
