Un Mensaje de Directora Sarlos
Dear Families,
Well done! What a beautiful job you all did in supporting Eri Nogueira in executing a successful and well-organized Field Day! You also threw some amazingly fun end-of-year parties and an elegant 5th-grade celebration. I love that each child came to the microphone to express their gratitude in Spanish and English. The clap-out today was energetic and respectful! You all are collaborating to create a lovely culture in our school and wonderful memories for your children. Thanks to all of you for trusting us with your children.
I am so happy and proud to be walking away from the founding of this school with such a deep feeling of satisfaction. It has been so lovely to watch your children grow and learn for the last two years. Their little selves are so much more accomplished and determined and their Spanish is so rich! In immersion, one way we know we are successful is when native English speakers start calling out to each other socially in Spanish in the halls and that is happening now here. Another is when students treat Spanish speakers like automatic rock stars! That also happened this year!
I look very forward to watching the growth of this school and the community you are creating in the future and fully intend to visit!
Lilian Sarlos
