STRUT Week
Each year, Newcastle High School comes together for one of our most meaningful traditions—STRUT Week, a student-led outreach initiative dedicated to supporting a member of our community facing a significant health challenge. This event has become a powerful reminder of what it means to stand together, support one another, and lift up those who need it most.
This year, STRUT Week will run April 27, 2026-May 1, 2026.
To attend STRUT events, students must purchase a wristband for the week. Wristbands are $40 and will go on sale April 6, 2026
Teen Volunteers
Are you a teenager who nerds out about natural or cultural history? Are you looking for a cool place to spend your summer? Are you hoping to gain practical experience in a museum setting? If so, then the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History has the perfect opportunity for you!
During our free seven-week Teen Volunteer Program, museum enthusiasts ages 13 to 17 will explore Oklahoma’s natural and cultural history through exclusive behind-the-scenes tours and conversations with museum professionals. Through volunteer opportunities, participants will learn from hands-on experience in the museum. At the end of the program participants will showcase what they learned in a fair for their friends and family.
AI and Applied Math Summer Opportunity
Inspirit AI is a prestigious, 25-hour guided research program where middle and high school students design applied AI projects in financial strategy, environmental modeling, and economic analysis under the mentorship of graduate researchers from Stanford and MIT.
