Mill Valley Weekly

If you were at Mill Valley this week you may have heard students ask questions like:

"Why is everyone wearing black?"

"Why is Mrs. Harris drinking out of a kleenex box and Mr. Goelz out of an ice cube tray?"

"Why is everyone dressed like they are going on vacation?"

We hope the students had some extra fun this week as the Mill Valley staff were up to some mischief. Staff have had so much fun with our "underground spirit week"! The students reactions have been adorable! Below are some pictures that were captured.

Sincerely,

Allyce & Julie

Principals

Forward Testing for 3rd and 4th graders will be taking place

April 7th - April 17th.

Testing will be scheduled in the morning only. Please avoid scheduling any appointments (doctor, dentist, ortho, etc) during the testing time. More information will be shared when we get closer to the testing dates.

• Linked HERE is a schedule of the readings each week. The Monday following a week of reading, there will be trivia questions for students to answer at school!

Thank you for continuing to participate in this fun all school activity!

Special THANK YOU to the PTO for funding the purchase of the books for each student.

Please join us on April 2nd anytime between 5:30-7:00 PM at Bay Lane Elementary for our 4K Student and Caregiver Open House. When you arrive, be sure to grab a Student Bingo Card that will lead you and your child through our 4K classrooms. Each classroom will be open with a designated activity for students to participate in. During the open house, students and caregivers will have an opportunity to learn more about math, literacy, fine motor, music/movement and social skills. It should take approximately 30-45 minutes to visit all the planned activities. There will be classroom teachers and administrators available to provide information and answer general questions you might have. More information regarding 4K and registration can be found on our district website.

Please join us for our next PTO Meeting on Tuesday, March 11th at 5:30pm in the Mill Valley Library.

Special guests: 3rd Grade Teachers
