As teachers and staff are cleaning up their rooms and prepping for the summer and the next school year, your child may come home with some books, workbooks or other materials that they can use over the summer! This will likely be our last Family Newsletter for 2025-2026! I am looking forward to a great last 4 days of school with our amazing Lions, and if I don't see you in the next few days, have an amazing, safe, restful summer, and I will see you in 2026-2027!

Take care,

Jen Price

Shaping the Future of Lakeside Schools Together!

LC Families, please read the below message from our School Board:

In Lakeside, we know our schools are more than buildings—they are the heartbeat of our community, where our students’ dreams take flight. As your Board of Trustees, we are dedicated to serving you and ensuring every family, student, and staff member has a seat at the table.

We’ve made great strides this year by focusing on:

· Career Pathways: Expanding Technical Education in our middle schools to prepare students for the workforce.

· Supportive Environments: Prioritizing social-emotional well-being and behavioral support to help everyone thrive in the classroom.

· Academic Excellence: Staying committed to innovation and grade-level mastery for every child.

Now, we are looking ahead and need your guidance to help us set the right goals for the next chapter of our district. Your feedback ensures that our focus remains tailored to our students' unique needs.

How can you help? Please take a few minutes to complete our community survey. Your voice is the key to helping our students reach for the stars!

Contacting Teachers & Principal Price Contacting Teachers & Principal Price

If you have a question or concern about your child, we encourage you to speak with your child's teacher first. Please note that during the instructional day, teachers and staff may not be able to respond to your message, email or call since they are busy doing what they do best: teaching! Your child's teacher will respond to you when they are able. Thank you for understanding!

Contacting Principal Price:

  • Email: jprice@lsusd.net

  • Call the Front Office: (619) 390-2527 - The front office staff will take a message, and Principal Price will call you when she is available

  • In-Person: Call the office so Mrs. Whitehurst or Ms. Madina can help us set up a meeting so I can dedicate time to you!

Many of your questions may be answered in our Lemon Crest Family Handbook A-Z . We ask that all families read this.

Please know that there is a 24-48 hour "grace period" in my response time. When I respond, call or meet with you, I need time to get informed in order to have possible answers to your questions. I am prioritizing getting to know our students so I can support their success and am often not readily available in the office. Thank you for your understanding and support.
