SHAVING LAB IN CNA
Our CNA students practiced shaving patients this week. Being able to safely shave a patient is an important skill for a CNA student to master. Thank you to our volunteers, both students and staff, for stepping up and allowing our CNA students to practice this skill.
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION STUDENTS COMPLETE MANDATED REPORTER TRAINING!
Our Early Childhood Education students recently took a major step toward becoming teachers by completing their official Mandated Reporter Training.
Dawn Flagg from Families Can led a two-day workshop, an amazing local organization dedicated to supporting families and keeping kids safe. Over the two days, our future educators jumped into the legal and ethical responsibilities that come with working with young children.
Through real-world scenarios and great group discussions, the class learned how to spot the signs of child abuse and neglect, understand their legal duties as professionals, and navigate the reporting process with confidence and care.
Keeping kids safe is always the number one priority as an educator. We are so proud of our students for their focus and hard work during this important training! A huge thank you to Dawn Flagg and the Families Can team for sharing their expertise and giving our future teachers the tools they need to protect and advocate for their future students.
