Happy November!
Dear Families,
Welcome to November! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we are very THANKFUL for our students and families! THANK YOU for a wonderful year so far. We look forward to a lot of special memories with our students between now and Winter Break!
Our fundraiser is off to a great start! It ends on November 10th. If you have not registered, please consider registering your student. It's totally free to register and your student earns a very cool stuffed animal bracelet. We are about $2300 from our goal - I know we can do it! See more info below in the newsletter.
Thank you for the food donations for our Family Resource food drive!
We will open sign ups for our KINDERGARTEN THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY MEAL (Nov. 20th) THIS WEEK. Please watch for a separate message/announcement for that sign-up/payment. The cost is $5 and you MUST register in advance. Preschool families will be attending our Christmas Holiday Meal in December.
Be sure to read about our amazing night (a week from Wednesday) planned by our very own FRC, Ivy Taylor, and the other north end FRYSC coordinators. It is a wonderful night for families to receive a lot of support, learn a lot and make connections! Check out the info and register below.
We will be celebrating our NPES Veterans (and Active Duty military) on November 7th. More info is below in the newsletter, but we hope our veterans and active duty members will join us for our celebration (parade and refreshments). Please be sure to sign up so we can be prepared for your visit. We will close sign ups on Thursday morning to make arrangements.
If you need assistance with the app in any way, please call the NPES office at 270-351-4464 or email laurabeth.hayes@hardin.kyschools.us
Sincerely,
Mrs. Hayes (principal)

November School Lunch Menu
Please note that our lunch menu will sometimes differ from what is listed due to availability of items and delivery dates to our school sometimes being different. All students may eat breakfast and lunch for FREE.
Reading Tree at NPES
Let's fill our reading tree this month!
We LOVE seeing students reading at home with their families!!!! The November reading tree leaves should be coming home ASAP, and you can print out from the link below as well! If you need more, just let your teacher know. READ TOGETHER AS A FAMILY! Your student earns a cool holiday-themed sticker.
Week At-a-Glance
Portrait of a Learner
Our Portrait of a Learner focus this month was "responsible citizen." We reminded students that they are responsible when they come to school on time, work hard during the school day and show respect by following school rules and expectations. We will recognize responsible citizens at our assembly on Wednesday. During November, we will focus on engaged learners.
Kinder Families - Save the Date
Our Thanksgiving Holiday Meal will be November 20th. Families are invited to come join students for this yearly tradition. The meal costs $5 and we will take sign-ups and money in ADVANCE. Please be watching for that info after the first of the month. Preschool Holiday Meal is in December - so more info to come on that!
No PRESCHOOL on November 10th
As noted on the district preschool calendar, there is no school for PRESCHOOL STUDENTS on November 10th.
