Preschool Social Emotional Supports
This year, you'll learn all about how we support the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and development of young children, it's a big part of what we do! We have a social emotional component in our HighScope Curriculum, you'll receive feedback on your child's developmental stages in their Child Observation Record (COR) Assessment report. Teachers also have access to Everyday Speech, which is a supplemental curriculum with engaging and interactive lessons on specific SEL opportunities. In partnership with the Troy School District, we are also implementing age appropriate practices from Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) which provides clear expectations for our Preschool Pups (photographed below). This year, we will be extending the impact of Behavior Intervention Support Teams (BIST) with common area expectations, as well as Restorative Practices, and Character Education.

Food Services Information
We are currently operating under the Michigan School Meals Program, which provides free breakfast and lunch to all students. We encourage families to still complete the Free & Reduced lunch forms provided by the district, so that funds are allocated appropriately.
If you have any questions, please contact the TSD Food Service Department at 248-823-5089
Arrival & Dismissal Routines
Please make every effort to arrive to school on time. When your child arrives late, they miss important learning and community building with their classmates. Additionally, it is disruptive to their daily routine when children arrive late. If your child does arrive to school late, please bring them to the front office vestibule and wait with them. Our front office team will walk groups of students down intermittently.
Please make every effort to pick your child up at their dismissal time. In alignment with our TSD Preschool Handbook, students who are not picked up on time will be charged a late fee and risk being moved to the waitlist if it persists.
