The Little Judges Ledger
October 12 - October 16, 2026
Dear Virginia Avenue Families,
We had another wonderful week at Virginia Avenue! Our Little Judges participated in the Crunch Heard 'Round the Commonwealth, joining students across Virginia in celebrating fresh, local apples with one big CRUNCH! Our Dual Language classes also shared special dance performances celebrating the cultures of their teachers' home countries. It was a week filled with learning, culture, and fun! Be sure to check out our Facebook page for more pictures of these exciting activities!

π School to Home: Celebrating Growth
With first-quarter report cards coming home electronically this week, it's a great time to check in with your child about their progress. Remember, report cards are just one way to see how students are growing as learners!
After reviewing your child's report card, try asking:
β What are you most proud of accomplishing this quarter?
πͺ What is something you worked really hard to learn?
ποΈ What is one goal you would like to work toward next quarter?
π€ How can I help you reach that goal?
Celebrate effort and growth, not just grades! Help your child understand that learning takes practice, mistakes are part of growing, and every step forward is worth celebrating.
