East News Flash

We look forward to continuing to partner with you to support your child’s success. On November 4th we have set aside time between 1:30-4:30pm and invite you to schedule a time to meet with your student's teachers for our fall Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Conferences may be scheduled as in-person or virtual, depending on what works best for your family.

Conferences are a valuable opportunity to:

• Discuss your student’s academic progress

• Learn more about classroom expectations

• Collaborate on strategies to support continued growth

We encourage all families to take advantage of this opportunity. If you are unable to attend on November 4th, please reach out directly to your student’s teachers to explore alternative arrangements.

Thank you for your continued partnership!

David Jones

Principal

Dear Senior Parent/Guardian,

Jostens delivered information for your senior about their 2026 graduation cap & gown and other senior year items. We thought you would appreciate having a copy of what was handed out during English class.

When you order by this date, you will be a part of the Group Order Discount and save a lot of stress rather than waiting until spring. Plano East 2026-27 Junior and Senior Parents and Students, it is almost time to begin signing up for courses for next school year. We invite you to attend Panther Preview on November 10th for an opportunity to visit with the teachers of courses you are considering taking and learn more about those courses. This event will take place in the Plano East cafeteria and IB commons. We will start the evening from 5:45 to 6:45 with a come-and-go session at your own pace, where you can visit with teachers about the classes you might have an interest in. At 6:45, we will provide an informational meeting in the auditorium for those students interested in taking Dual Credit next year. This meeting will run approximately 45 minutes to an hour. We hope you will be able to come and learn more about the various courses we offer, and you can sign up for next year!

Attention to students in classes associated with AP Classroom,

Whether you have an existing College Board account or are creating a new account make sure the email address on file is your PISD student email. You cannot use your personal email or phone number on your college board account. If you have any question your AP teachers can help walk you through this process. There is a google slides presentation that goes step by step they can share with you. This is necessary for you to be able to continue to access AP classroom throughout the school year as well as for AP testing. You can find more information here.
