"What's New at Tufts?"
That’s the question we receive perhaps more than any other this time of year as our admission team visits hundreds of high schools and college access organizations across the US and around the world.
So here’s what’s new:
🐘 Tufts Tuition Pact
Beginning with the fall of 2026 entering class, U.S. undergraduates will attend Tufts tuition-free if their annual family income is under $150,000, with typical assets.
🐘 Kosher Dining on Campus
Tufts has expanded its kosher dining options to include a new hot kosher meal plan, catered by a local supplier, based on student feedback. This new offering builds upon existing kosher options on campus, including the Pax et Lox Glatt Kosher Deli, the plant-based kosher station at Dewick-MacPhie dining center, and kosher catered meals at Tufts Hillel.
🐘 Center for Expanding Viewpoints in Higher Education
Eitan Hersh, A05, Professor of Political Science, is the founding director of the new Center, which aims to bring wider political perspectives to higher education and create active forums for dialogue across views. The Center will host speakers with a range of viewpoints, conduct research, and coordinate with other offices and centers across the University.
🐘 New Residence Halls for Undergraduate Students
Construction has begun on a new 660-bed residence hall for juniors and seniors, set to open in fall 2027, and an existing residence hall has been modernized for undergraduate students in the center of campus. Both projects seek to better serve the University’s current undergraduate enrollment.
COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY
Colorado State University is known for getting students out of their seats and into the field. Classes take on a whole new meaning here, where students find themselves not just putting their minds to work, but their hands, too.
Our students build tiny houses. They run a restaurant. They cultivate poinsettias for a mass sale during the holidays. They mentor local youth experiencing difficulties, manage a half a million dollar stock fund, and much more ... all for course credit and experience while earning their degree.
Here, learning means doing. Let's get to it.
UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA
CLARKSON UNIVERSITY

Even better, 100% of our students gain hands-on experience.

Fee Waivers
New This August: Students who visit Bucknell — past, present or future — can receive a free application fee waiver! To qualify, students must visit before submitting their application, as we can’t refund fees after submission. Eligible visits include registered campus tours, info sessions, open houses, and programs like Bucknell Academy Summer Experience, Chemistry Camp, Engineering Camp, and Journey to Bucknell. Self-guided tours also count, as long as the student stops by Admissions to complete an inquiry card. Virtual visits aren't currently eligible. Students who can’t visit can still explore fee waiver options via the College Board, Coalition, or Common App. Bucknell continues to waive fees for families with an adjusted gross income under $100,000.
