FFA Happenings
Thank you to everyone who played a part in making our FFA Fish Fry and Labor Auction such a success. Whether you came out and bought a meal, purchased a student in the labor auction, helped prepare the food, or served throughout the evening—we are incredibly grateful for your support.
Thank you all for supporting our students and our FFA program.
Spring has officially arrived, and in the Ag Department that means lots of hands-on learning and hard work in the sunshine!
We recently hatched 11 Dark Brahma chicks and have been collecting a large number of eggs from our laying hens. These eggs are farm-fresh, non-fertilized, and perfect for a delicious breakfast or your favorite springtime recipes. Be sure to check out the flyer for details on our egg sale.
Our floriculture students have been busy planting flowers in our raised garden beds, and we are currently preparing plants for our upcoming plant sale. Be sure to save the date—our annual plant sale will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, with more details coming soon.
In addition, our Ag 2 students have been working hard to beautify our campus by building fencing and other improvements that help make our school a place we can all take pride in.
We are truly living out the FFA motto: Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, and Living to Serve.
Join Mrs. Patterson for tomorrow's PAT event...
And visit the PAT booth at the Easter Egg Hunt on April 4th!
The Principal's Corner
This past weekend had a little bit of everything—warm weather, thunderstorms, and even cold temperatures with snow showers… but that’s Missouri for you!
Guess what—today is the first day of spring! With it comes longer evenings, more family activities, greener grass, blooming flowers, and the excitement of ball season and upcoming family vacations.
With all that being said, we still have lots of school days left for this year. It’s important to stay involved in activities, but also to remain focused on school. Please make sure your child is attending school, getting plenty of sleep, eating a nutritious breakfast each day, and completing homework and studying for tests. Maybe you can even get them to clean their room—good luck with that!
As always, thank you for your continued support. Our Lions Pride community makes a difference when we all work together to support our students, both in and out of the classroom.
If you haven’t had a chance yet, share the link below with a family member to stay connected.
One of the goals of our school district is to continue improving communication with our families and community. Parents and guardians currently receive information through text messages and/or emails, and community members also have the opportunity to sign up to receive these updates. If you know someone who would like to receive school information, feel free to share this link with others, as we use this system almost daily to communicate important updates and information. Once they complete the form, we will upload their contact information into our communication system.
