Mother Nature has certainly tested our new school roof this summer, and thankfully, it passed with flying colors! We have had more than our share of storms. The grass and flowers may have appreciated the rain, but I am sure many sump pumps have been working overtime.

Ms. Agner created the perfect theme for our new school year: “Every Minute Matters.” It reminds us that time is a gift from God, and we want to honor that gift by making every minute with your children meaningful.

Our Chicago Campus is ready to welcome faculty and staff back on August 17. Before then, families are invited to Packet Pickup on Thursday, August 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the church hall. If you cannot attend, please contact Mrs. Cardenas at ecardenas@stwstb.org. Your packet contains important information to review and forms that must be completed before the start of school.

Please take a few minutes to review the reminders below. I look forward to meeting our new families and welcoming our returning families back for another great year.

Thank you for trusting us with your child’s education. I am grateful for your partnership and commitment to Catholic education. Please continue to share the great things happening at St. Walter-St. Benedict School with friends and family who may be looking for a school to call home.

I cannot wait to welcome our WolfPack back!

In Christ,

Kim Leonard

Dear WolfPack Families,

Welcome back! There is something special about the beginning of a new school year. The halls are filled with excitement, new friendships are forming, and we have the opportunity to begin again with fresh goals and new possibilities.

Our theme this year is “Every Minute Matters.” Every minute of every day is an opportunity to learn something new, make a positive choice, show kindness, build a relationship, or take another step toward becoming the person God calls us to be. We want our students to understand that their time, their choices, and their presence matter. When we make every minute count, small moments can lead to meaningful growth.

This year is especially exciting as we begin our first school year together on one campus. This transition is an important milestone for our STWSTB community, and we are looking forward to building an even stronger sense of connection, belonging, and school pride.

As your Assistant Principal, I am grateful for the partnership we share with our families. Our students thrive when school and home work together, and your support, communication, and involvement make a huge difference. Throughout the year, we will continue to focus on helping every student grow academically, socially, and spiritually while creating a community where every child feels known, supported, and valued.

As we begin this new school year, I encourage our students to walk in faith, lead with kindness, work hard, and always look for ways to improve our school community.

Here’s to a wonderful year filled with learning, laughter, growth, and new memories. We are so glad you are here and excited for all that this year will bring!

In partnership,
Lisa Agner
