Hello Navigators,

I so enjoyed visiting with so many people at Back to School Night. It is a great way to kick off the school year and I am honored to work with all of you to do great things for the students at Nichols!

The deadline for student device insurance is approaching. See this flyer about purchasing insurance to protect your child's school issued device.

Save the date for Wednesday, 9/27/23, we will hold two meetings to discuss our Title 1 program and for updates and to connect and collaborate about this school year. One will be at 8:15 and the second at 5:15 PM. Hope to see you there.

Thank you for participating in our School Site Council elections. The voting is now closed. The new members of Nichols SSC are:

Please join me in welcoming these new members. We are looking forward to working as a council this year. We will have our first meeting on Wednesday, September 27th at 7:30 AM. Even if you are not on the Council you can still attend. For this first meeting we will be doing an overview and training regarding school site council, electing officers and determining the meeting schedule.

Mark your calendars for our Fall Carnival, scheduled for October 27th. We will need volunteers and details about volunteering will be shared soon. If you are interested in getting involved with the planning contact PTO or reply to this email message.

On Wednesdays we will have Nichols Spirit days. Wear Nichols gear or wear blue!

Oceanside Unified School District has partnered with Care Solace to help families in need of mental health support. This services can help quickly find available services. We are so thrilled with out STEAM program. STEAM stands for Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We have Ms. Goulet who teaches the STEM parts of STEAM and Ms. Harmon who teaches Art. Check out the STEAM Newsletter for the latest information.
