The Lemon Crest ROAR

December is short but busy! Sending this week's newsletter a day early so you don't miss out on the fun tomorrow!

• Tomorrow, Friday, December 5 at 8am is our All-School Assembly on the blacktop. Parents and families, we always love to see you there! Please know that there is a standing invitation for parents and families to join us at our All-School Assemblies on the first Friday of the month (unless there's inclement weather or no school, then it'll be the following Friday).
• ALSO tomorrow, Friday, December 5 at 5-8pm is our PTA Event, JINGLE JAM! Each class has a time for their class performance - we hope to see you there!
• Trimester 1 Report Cards will be available on the Parent Portal tomorrow as well! Please make sure you are able to access the Parent Portal. We will not be printing report cards.
• Coming up next week:
• Wednesday (Dec 10) is our Early Release like usual: Dismissal for TK and K is 11:55am and 1st-5th is 12:15pm.
• This day is also our Food Pantry day! Food pick-up is 11:30-1:30pm!
• Thursday and Friday (Dec 11 and 12) are Minimum Days for At-Promise Conference with teachers: Dismissal for TK and K is 11:10am and 11:30am for 1st-5th grades.

DONATIONS STILL NEEDED!

As is tradition, our school will be organizing a Giving Tree to provide holiday gifts for families in our community. We’ll need your help to ensure all the wish lists are filled! Please swing by the office to grab a tag (or a few) off the tree to purchase for a Lemon Crest student. All gifts are due by Friday, December 12th and should be turned into the main office unwrapped and accompanied by the paper ornament so we know who it'll go to. We are excited to kick off the holiday season!

Holiday Shop will be December 2nd-5th -this is where students can shop affordably priced items for their family and friends. A shopping list and baggie will be coming home that students can bring back on their shopping day. Jingle Jam Whobilation will be Friday, December 5th from 5pm-8pm. This is a free event for families, food items will be available for purchase. A parent must be present with students, this is NOT a drop off event. We are so excited that ALL classes will be performing this year! Your child and their class have been working hard to practice their songs and performance, so please join us! Lemon Crest Food Pantry Dates: Feeding San Diego is hosting FREE food distribution at Lemon Crest! Receive pantry staples and fresh produce at no cost! We ask that you bring your own bags and/or wagon to carry your groceries. Food is distributed on a first come, first serve basis on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 11:45am after our early release Wednesday dismissal until 1:45pm:

Please note that during the instructional day, teachers and staff may not be able to respond to your message, email or call since they are busy doing what they do best: teaching! Your child's teacher will respond to you when they are able. Thank you for understanding!
