“Our children do not need a perfect childhood. They need opportunities to play, explore, connect, make mistakes, solve problems, and grow—especially in the real world.”

Social media can wait. Haidt recommends delaying social media until at least age 16, allowing children more time to develop before entering the world of constant comparison and algorithm-driven content.
