PIC Parent Update

We have a lot of exciting events coming up at PIC, so please take a moment to review the important information in this letter. We are still in need of grandgreeter volunteers. A second paper flyer was sent home this week, so please check with your child for details. Today was our first school store. Ask your child what they purchased.

Parent-teacher sign-ups will open on October 3rd at 11:00 AM. Additionally, our first spirit week is approaching—please refer to the attached flyer for more information.

As a reminder, if your child will be late or absent, please call or email the office.

Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who purchased or donated to the PTO Fall Mums.

With the increase in students on bus routes this year, we are no longer able to allow extra passengers to ride home with other students. Families will need to make alternate arrangements for these situations.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and support.

We encourage families to ensure that their students arrive at school on time every day. We recognize that there are valid reasons for students to miss school occasionally. To help keep everyone informed, we send attendance reminder letters at 7, 10, and 14 absences. Additionally, we collaborate with Will County Truancy Officers to provide extra support services for families in need. The attendance team at PIC is dedicated to partnering with families for their success. Please feel free to reach out to our office or Principal Tekiela with any questions or concerns.

Mums Sale Update

A big thank you to our Peotone families and friends who purchased mums - we know those porches and planters are looking ready for fall!

Thanks to your support we sold over 900 mums and raised over $6,000! We look forward to using those funds to support our great Peotone schools, teachers and students.

Pre-K and K Park Playdates

Thanks to all our Pre-K and K families who joined us at our park playdates last week - we had a great time! Shoutout to Berkots for donating all the water and ice pops!

Throughout the year, PIC offers numerous opportunities for volunteers to get involved! We welcome your participation in various events, including parties, field trips, popcorn popping, Field Day, and the 5th Grade Fun Day. Join us in making these experiences memorable! Additionally, our PTO is always looking for volunteers to assist with their events. Please fill out the volunteer form below. We are closing the form on October 3rd.

Please remember to contact the PIC office if your student is going to be absent or late. If your child is changing their route home, please call the office no later than 1:00 pm.
